I’m now a member of the crowd that has better looking rims on their winter setup..
Snow testing is still to be conducted...

3 door Corolla? No, I'm not jealous at all.

I had also never seen one before moving to Germany. They’re actually not that uncommon here, but you see more 5-doors and wagons. The 3-door Auris, however...

In the US, we’ve technically had sedan- only since... 1996? In 2003 they sold the Matrix/Vibe hatchback which are almost the same but somehow even less luxurious than the sedan. The iM (discontinued this year) is a 5-door Auris. Next year both the sedan and hatchback will be sold on the new global platform, but no wagon for us.

Too bad we never got that 2-door hatchback Corolla over here :(

Not surprising, considering what the american customer would prefer The sedan was always available here, but is by far the rarest one of the bunch. A coworker has a 04 d iesel wagon, which would also score quite high on the Jalopnik scale.

Steel wheels can look good when done right.

Fancy winter rims! Did they come with the car?

No winter tires came with the car, so I decided to buy a new set of rims and tires. Quite happy with how they look!

I agree, they look way better than those 5 spokes! This gen of Corolla always looked good on multi-spoke wheels like these

Yet, when the Corolla was replaced by the Auris in Europe (Hoccy has the last gen Euro Corolla) they didn’t even bother with adding a sedan to the lineup. 3-door, 5-door and wagon only. In some markets they (theoretically) still offered a sedan Corolla that no one bought, in other markets the sedan was dropped entirely.
Nowadays all Corollas are rare, except maybe the last generation. The vast majority has been exported to Africa or maybe Eastern Europe.
